Demands for steam boilers and industrial boilers have undergone immense growth in many of the processes of production in such a way that the majority of upstream industries use superheated and normal steam. In addition, hot oil boilers are utilized in many of upstream industries. In recent years, there has been great interest in the cleaning abilities of steam; therefore, steam boiler devices and equipment are now used amply in cleaning industries. Moreover, the use of industrial steam washers and steam car wash equipment has risen drastically.

Steam boilers, also called boilers, have different applications. Providing heat necessary for varied industries including greenhouses, poultry farms, the food industry, mushroom farming, et cetera is one of the major ways boilers are put to use. Boilers fall into several categories based on the number of routes that gases pass through, before they enter the exhaust chamber.

  • Single pass boilers: The first generation of boilers was the coal burner boiler such as steam locomotives. In coal burner boilers, gases produced by combustion pass through the boiler once and then, enter the exhaust. Such boilers are no longer in production.
  • Two-pass boilers: (to produce warm water) gases pass the boiler twice and subsequently enter exhaust.
  • Recirculating boilers: in this category, gases produced by the process of combustion pass through the boiler two times, are then transported to the pass, and finally enter the exhaust. Such boilers have a higher efficiency compared to Two-pass boilers.
  • Three-pass boilers: (to produce hot water and steam) gases pass the boiler three times, and then enter exhaust.
  • Four-pass: four-pass steam boilers are principally used to produce steam in massive amounts.
